HS Design Studios Ltd is a London-based design and fabrication studio founded by Henry Stringer and Hester Sorel, operating from a fully equipped workshop in North Greenwich with the capacity to deliver projects of varied scale and complexity.

We specialise in bespoke metal and wood fabrication, offering a hands-on, end-to-end service from early concept through to fabrication and installation. Working at the intersection of design and making, we combine technical precision with a deep understanding of material and process, supported by in-house CAD design and digital workflows.

Our workshop facilities include CNC routing, metal laser cutting and laser welding, MIG and TIG welding, press brake forming, fixture table set-ups, turning, milling, spray finishing, and 3D printing, enabling efficient and accurate production across a wide range of materials, scales, and project types. This extensive in-house capability allows us to maintain close control over quality, timelines, and design intent throughout the making process.

We collaborate with architects, artists, designers, and private clients to realise a diverse portfolio of work – from residential interiors and modular architectural elements to artworks, furniture, and one-off installations for creative and commercial environments.

Taking a collaborative and iterative approach, we develop ideas through prototyping, detailed design, and fabrication to achieve thoughtful, well-made outcomes.

Based in London, we deliver custom metal and wood fabrication for projects across the UK and beyond.
